Extra time and care is taken to customise your stationery, giving your guests a privileged glimpse into your unique love story and a beautiful keepsake to look back on for years to come.

The ordering process for bespoke designed wedding invitations consists of the following stages which typically takes between 7 and 9 weeks from the time of ordering to delivery (UK).

Please feel free to contact me to arrange a call so I can answer all your questions.

Table to when to send out wedding invites and stationery

wedding invitation Timeline

You’ll want to mail out your Main Invites 3-4 months ahead of your wedding day, giving some more time for a destination wedding of around 5-8 months ahead, allowing your guests to make travel arrangements.

Your Main Invitations, Details, Maps and RSVPs are sent at the time time so these will need to be ready too.

If you’re choosing to send Save the Dates then these are typically sent at least 2 months before your main invitations.

I’ll be able to offer advice on your stationery timeline based on your personal circumstances so you can rest assured that everything goes to plan.

the process

1. Consultation & Quote

If you’d like me to create something bespoke then please get in touch by completing this contact form. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers – we’ll schedule a video call once I’ve received your form to discuss your vision in more detail and I’ll provide you with an initial quote to suite your requirements.

We’ll talk about the overall style that you want and how that can be achieved through paper, colours, calligraphy, embellishments and anything else.

This can take up to 6 working days.

2. Booking

If required, you’ll receive a revised quote and once you’re happy, contracts will be signed and a 50% deposit paid to schedule your project. Once booked you’ll be invited to a portal that will keep everything in one place. I’ll then send you a form to complete to gather the nitty gritty details. When I receive it back work begins!

3. Initial Concept

I’ll create a personalised mood board and provide you with up to 3 tailored stationery designs to choose from. We’ll narrow it down to one design and make any necessary tweaks.

Your designs will be presented either as sketches or digitally for illustration purposes, and paper, printing and material samples can be sent to you so you can get a feel for the overall design. Up to two rounds of revisions on your chosen design are included.

This process takes up to 7 business days.

4. Designing

I’ll create the original calligraphy and any artwork for your design as well as digitising it ready for print with one round of revisions included for minor changes. I’ll also source any additional materials such as paper and ribbon.

6 working days.

5. Printing

Your beautiful designs will go to print at my local printers once the remaining 50% payment is made.

Printing typically takes up to 3 weeks but more if using complex printing methods. At this stage it’s not possible to make any changes to the digital print or the printing process.

6. Assembly

I’ll address any envelopes in calligraphy and gather materials for your embellishments, then once I have your printed stationery I’ll add the finishing touches and your stationery suite will be assembled. The cost for this is included in all quotes.

Your wedding stationery will be carefully packed up and sent by Special Delivery so you can take them to the post office. Just remember to admire them first.

Payment for postage will be required before being sent which will usually be around £20-£40 within the UK (via a separate invoice).
